The Oxford and Cambridge Club of Nigeria, also known as the 'Oxbridge Club' is the accredited association of the alumni of the Universities of Oxford and Cambridge resident in Nigeria. Established over 35 years ago, the Club seeks to create a forum to encourage debate on social and economic issues while stimulating disciplines, spread across the country and engaged in different sectors of society. The Club is networked into the global Oxford and Cambridge alumni community and entertains Oxbridge members visiting Nigeria for business or study.
The Club continues to build a reputation for intellectual thought leadership, attracting leaders from the business, diplomatic and academic cadres to its events including our annual Spring Lecture. In the past, the Club has played host to President Kagame of the Federal Republic of Rwanda and the Rt Honourable Diane Abbott MP, a Cambridge alumnus as well as the first black female Member of Parliament.
Annual events that are organised by the Club include the Spring Lecture, the Oxbridge Debate, the Boat Race viewing, the Fresher’s Event and the May Ball.
